Bhulbo Na ("ভুলবো না") is a public interest application that helps citizens track national issues and cases in Bangladesh. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Data Sources & Attribution
Important Disclaimer: Bhulbo Na is an independent civic application and is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government entity. This app does not facilitate any government services.
Sources of Information:
- All issue information displayed in this app is compiled from publicly available news sources
- We source our data from credible Bangladesh news outlets including:
- Every timeline event in the app includes a direct link to its original news source for transparency and verification
- We do not publish original news content; we aggregate and track publicly reported information
Information We Collect
1. Push Notification Token
- What: When you subscribe to follow an issue, we collect your device's push notification token (provided by Expo/Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Why: To send you notifications about dormant issues you've subscribed to.
- Storage: Stored on our secure Cloudflare servers, associated with your issue subscriptions.
2. Issue Subscriptions
- What: The list of issues you choose to follow.
- Why: To personalize your notification preferences.
- Storage: Stored both locally on your device and on our servers (linked to your push token).
3. App Preferences
- What: Language preference (English/Bangla), widget settings, onboarding status.
- Why: To provide a personalized experience.
- Storage: Stored locally on your device only. Never transmitted to our servers.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Personal identification (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Contacts or address book
- Photos, files, or media
- Browsing history
- Device identifiers for advertising
- Any information from other apps
How We Use Your Information

Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your information with third parties, except:
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google): Used to deliver push notifications to your device.
- Cloudflare: Our backend infrastructure provider for data storage and processing.
Data Retention
- Push tokens: Retained while you have active issue subscriptions. Removed when you unsubscribe from all issues.
- Local preferences: Remain on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
Your Rights
You can:
- Unsubscribe from any issue at any time within the app
- Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data
- Request deletion of your push token and subscription data by contacting us
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Secure cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers + D1 Database)
- No unnecessary data collection
Children's Privacy
This app is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any significant changes through the app or our website.
